International Students

WSU is an F-1 and J-1 sponsoring institution and each year hosts students and scholars from all over the world. Our current international population is over 150 students coming from over 25 different countries. Students fall into three categories: WSU undergraduate students, WSU graduate students and IELI students. In addition to offering Bachelors and Masters programs, the Intensive English Language Institute (IELI) offers an intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) curriculum which works to prepare students for college or university in the U.S.A. Regardless of your course of study, we are pleased you are considering WSU to continue your higher academic learning.

WSU is committed to supporting a culturally rich learning environment and we value the energy, vision, and devotion international students bring to our classrooms. We offer a multitude of opportunities for growth that will help you advance academically and grow personally.
The International Programs Office will be a source of information and assistance for international students throughout the course of their academic careers. We provide services in the areas of obtaining initial immigration documents, orientation, immigration and advising, as well as ongoing advising and counseling on a one-on-one basis  The IPO will accommodate all our international students in order to ensure that their stay here is a successful one.
