The informational interview is also an excellent way to find out more about careers. We offer coaching and a useful handout that will help you strategize how to connect with professionals to find out more specifically what they do, and what makes a person successful in that career field.
Job shadowing is another way to explore careers. With help from the WS Alumni Association, your career counselor can find alumni working in fields in which you are interested. These alumni are willing to let you spend time at work with them so you can experience what their jobs are like. Talk to your career counselor if you would like to shadow a professional.
